     While searching new attractive trekking routes and destination to provide some thing different experience for Nepal visitors then Nepal’s other trekking area, we found “Tamang Heritage Trail”. It is one of the best and newly opened trekking routes near about 120 km. north of kathmandu with unparalleled combination of natural beauty, superb Himalayan views and rich culture of tamang community. Tamang heritage trek is newly opened trekking in langtang area and it lies on the lap of Langtang Himal near the Tibet border as part of langtang trekking. Previously a restricted area near the Tibetan border, the unexplored regions of Langtang National Park has been developed into the Tamang Heritage Trail. The Tamang Heritage trail is a new tourism product that promotes sustainable and responsible tourism. Tamang heritage treks offers totally different experience of tamang community and theirs rituals, culture, tradition and most beautiful scenery of Himalayas. In this area, most of people are tamang whose religion, language, culture are similar with Tibetan people and highlights the ancient lifestyle of indigenous Tamang people who migrated into Nepal form Tibet many years ago. Some trekkers compare this trek as the Annapurna circuit trek or the Everest base camp trek. The treks pass through traditional Tamang village where life, culture and crafts have remained unchanged since the beginning of the settlement. Warm traditional welcome hosted by the locals, their elaborate costumes, rich architecture of their mountain houses, and the ancient monasteries and places of prayer. In addition to cultural experience, the trek also offers wilderness experience through beautiful landscapes of alpine terrain, flat meadow, and rhododendron forests. Tourists can enjoy hot bath in the healing hot-water spring at Tatopani before reaching Nagthali, Trekkers can visit local monasteries of Dukchu Gomba chosen as sacred site by the Tibetan Lama - Guru Rinpoche and Chukla Khnaga Gomba. The trail starts either from Dhunche or Syabrubesi and passes through Goljung, Gatlang, Chilime, Thuman, Timure and Briddim. The trail may end back in Syabrubesi or follow the Langtang trek from Briddim village via Khanjim. Tamang Heritage trek offers dramatic views of Langtang Lirung himal, Kerung, Chumse Danda, Dorje Lakpa Himal, Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, Manaslu himal and Sanjen Himal ranges.

Tamang Heritage Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you and transfer to hotel, briefing about trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: After breakfast, Drive to Syabru Bensi, overnight at Sybrubensi
Day 03: Trek Syabrubeshi to Gatlang overnight at Gatlang.
Day 04: Trek Gatlang to Tatopani overnight at Tatopani.
Day 05: Trek Tatopani to Thuman overnight at Thuman
Day 06: Trek Thuman to Briddim overnight at Briddim
Day 07: Trek Briddim to Lama Hotel overnight at Lama Hotel.
Day 08: Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang village overnight at Langtang village.
Day 09: Trek Langtang to Kangjin Gompa overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 10: Kangjin acclimataization / Excursion day.During this day trekking guide will take to you Tseko Ri 4984m for superb Himalayan scenerary including the Langtang Lirung, Yala peak, Naya khanga, Langshisa, Dorje Lakpa etc , back to Kyanjin Gompa,overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 11: Trek Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel overnight at Lama Hotel.
Day 12: Trek Lama Hotel to Syabru Gaun/Thulo syabru Overnight at Syabru Gaun/Thulo syabru.
Day 13: Trek Syabru Gaun/Thulo syabru to Dhunche. Overnight at Dhunche.
Day 14: After breakfast, by bus back to kathmandu.
Day 15: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to for historical monuments sightseing in kathmandu valley such as Bhaktapur, Pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, Kathmandu durbar square and Monkey temple (swyambhunath) and in the evening farewell dinner in Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel.
Day 16: After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities, our representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward destination.
